Professor at the Chair of Ecoclimatology of the Technische Universität München (TUM) and Carl von Linde Senior Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), TUM. She was one of the lead authors of the 4th report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change [4th IPCC Assessment Report (AR4)], which received the Nobel Peace prize in 2007.
